As shown on the map below, the cougar can be found in a wide range of habitats, spanning two continents. I live in Washington State in North America and there are consistent cougar sightings every year near human populations and especially in the forests and hills.

The Rainier Club is a private club in Seattle, Washington; it has been referred to as "Seattle's preeminent private club." Its clubhouse building, completed in 1904, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
